Camtasia is the tool that our office recommends for producing dynamic instructional videos. It offers you a variety of options including audio and video, sharing PowerPoint presentations, and screen capture. Camtasia is a robust tool that is also easy to use and produces a high quality product for your course.

Camtasia 2020 is one of the most used tools for creating online courses, screenshots, editing professional videos for promotional, advertisements, and explanatory videos. It is used by online teachers to capture and record their courses and by audiovisual content creators to record and edit their videos with professional finishes. The Camtasia help file is available online for version 2020. The online help provides content to assist you in getting started in Camtasia and to find answers to your questions. We are excited to offer a Camtasia Studio for use by distance learning faculty. The studio is located in the Faculty Media Depot and has everything you need to record your content. Our studio computer is dedicated for Camtasia use, ensuring it is up to date and free of unnecessary software or related issues. We have a very high quality, THX certified microphone for clear voice recordings, and around the ear Sennheiser closed back, noise-cancelling headphones for studio quality production. We are also equipped to produce full HD 1080p video with our high-end webcam.

Another key factor in using our studio is the availability of support throughout the duration of your session. We will begin by demonstrating how everything works and be available if you have any questions along the way. After you are finished recording, we can show you how to edit your project and produce it for viewing by your students.
